Looking back on this week, the first word to come to mind is grateful. We have felt an amazing amount of support from our community, as well as the various companies within our community.
We were so lucky to have the Shortall triplets and their younger brother team together to make 100 PB&Js for Dallas' most vulnerable. Additionally, our St. Thomas families' love carried on for another week with an additional 60 PB&Js. All of this kindness means that our friends were able to receive great, nutritious meals.
We are also so incredibly grateful for all the donations we have received this past week. In addition to the sandwiches and goodies from our local families, we also were so lucky to get protein bars from Thunderbird, a local company to Austin, and Icon Meals, as well as apple sauce from GoGO SqueeZ. To round it all off, Nothing Bundt Cakes White Rock donated 150 bundtinis, for the perfect sweet ending to our usual Sunday meal.
Looking ahead:
Because we are going out of town in the upcoming weeks, we are going to double down so that Family Gateway is not left astray. To do so, we are making 750 bags (!!!) this week. As one can imagine, this takes away a good amount of our supplies. If you have any interest in helping us out, we would really appreciate the following donations:
granola bars
chips
sweet treats
water
Once again, thank you all for the continued support. It is so appreciated!
